Crop an 8.5×11 Shipping Label PDF to 4×6
Optional Google Analytics measures how the tool is used, including errors and downloads. It uses analytics cookies. Your PDF contents and filenames are never included. Your choice does not affect the tool.
A shipping label can look right on screen and still print tiny when the entire 8.5 × 11 inch sheet is shrunk onto 4 × 6 paper. Crop the page to the label first, then print the new PDF at its actual size.
First, check whether you can download 4 × 6 directly
If the service that created your label offers a 4 × 6 download, use it. For example, Shopify supports thermal, Letter, and A4 print formats. LabelCrop is useful when you already have a PDF that needs cropping.
Crop the existing PDF in five steps
- Open your PDF in LabelCrop. Use one file, up to 200 pages and 50 MB. Every page must have the same displayed size and one label in the same position.
- Select the complete label. Drag a rectangle around it. Include the address, routing information, full barcode, and its surrounding white space. Leave out the unrelated receipt or packing slip.
- Choose 4 × 6 or 6 × 4. Match the orientation of the label. The selection is fitted proportionally; it is never stretched to fill the page.
- Check the print preview and other pages. Look for cut-off information or extra space. Check the displayed scaling percentage; cropping too much white space around the label may make its content smaller.
- Download the batch. Choose 4 × 6 paper in your PDF viewer or printer driver, then print at Actual size / 100%. Test one page before printing everything.
What if my PDF is A4?
The same selection method works for an A4 source. Select the label itself rather than using coordinates intended for US Letter. The output is still 4 × 6 inches (101.6 × 152.4 mm); A4 is only the source page size. For a saved crop, LabelCrop requires the source page dimensions to match.
What if there are two labels on a page?
One LabelCrop export makes one output page from each input page. It does not automatically split two or more labels from the same sheet. Export a one-label-per-page file from the original service when possible.
Check the printed barcode
Inspect the first print for clipped edges and blurred bars, and check that the barcode scans in your normal shipping workflow. A correctly sized PDF alone does not prove printer quality or carrier acceptance. LabelCrop preserves PDF content; it cannot restore detail missing from a low-resolution source.
